December11, 2019 –CITIZN, Inc., the world’s first Societal Network, which levels the playing field in politics by changing the role of people from consumers of political information to that of owners of political information, announced that David Tsubouchi will join the company’s brain trust effective immediately. In addition to his incredible accomplishments, David was approached to join CITIZN because he advises innovative startups and, most important, played a part in the cult classic film Videodrome, by director David Cronenberg. According to Mr. Tsubouchi, “CITZN is a truly novel way to look at politics and government. It will elevate people to that of active and inspired participants in the democratic process and reinforce, not replace, our hard-won democratic institutions.” He added, “As a former politician, I immediately saw the value of this concept for all political actors.”“Although his coolness factor played into our decision to approach David, it was his incisive analysis that sealed our desire to offer him this role,” stated Murray Simser,
Founder and CEO, CITIZN, Inc. “His gravitas, intellect, and reputation will be our polestar as we launch globally.” As an elected official, Mr. Tsubouchi represented the riding of Markham in the Ontario Legislature for two terms, during which he held cabinet posts including Solicitor General and Chair of the Management Board. David Tsubouchi is the Registrar Emeritus of the Ontario College of Trades (regulator of trades).
